Wow! Talk about being busy!

Life is just crazy lately! The weeks seem to be flying bye. We are in the process of purchasing our house so there seems to be a constant stream of emails and paper work to deal with. We have had 2 snow days in the past 2 weeks so Emma has been home from school more than usual and we have finally moved Natalia to a twin bed. Everything just feels nutty around here.

Natalia is doing wonderfully in her new bed. She absolutely LOVES it. After we got it all set up and the bedding on it she would have no part of the crib. I actually ended up buying her Dora bedding because it was on sale and she was all over it. She carried the pack of sheets around the store like the proudest little kid on the planet. When you ask her if it's bedtime she will say, "Dora bed!" It always comes out with a huge amount of enthusiasum. From the moment she first slept in the bed she has been awesome. She got out a few times during her first nap but since then it's been smooth sailing. I can't believe how easy this transition has been. I was so scared that she would give up her naps but she hasn't. On occasion she tries to get out of bed during naptime but I just put her back in and she stays.

Emma is being so good lately. Today she spent atleast an hour or two playing really nicely with Natalia. It was wonderful not having to break up any fights or deal with Natalia screaming. They truely seem to enjoy each others company lately. Sure, they fight, but not constantly and Emma seems to be more willing to actually help Natalia if she needs the help. It's really cute!

Emma continues to love school. She is so advanced with her reading that her teacher is blown away by her reading skills. Tommorrow we go to class for an observation and short interview with her teacher. I am really curious to hear what she has to say. Emma is now reading Level C books and the Ontario standard is the a Senior Kindergarten student should be able to read at this level before starting Grade 1. Emma is already reading at C level and she is only about half way through Junior Kindergarten. It will be interesting to see how the teacher plans to keep her challenged throughout the remainder of JK and SK.

Sorry about the lack of posts lately. I have been having terrible computer issues. We decided that it was time for a new computer for me so we picked up one at Staples and after 3 days it quit working so we took it back and exchanged it for a different one. Well, 5 days later, that computer died as well. Needless to say, we took it back to Staples for a refund and proceeded to buy an entirely different system from Costco. So far so good for computer #3. It's running very smoothly and with a 6 month return policy I have lots of time to kill this one! I have to admit that I got lucky. During the 2 computer breakdowns I only lost 1 set of pics and they were not important ones. Thanks goodness for backups and also for having all my data still on my old system.

Sorry about the long-winded post. I am going to attach some recent digital scrap layouts seeing as I don't have many new pics. Enjoy them!
